Guiding Starz is a youth focused organisation created to help young people from black and ethnic minority backgrounds living across Liverpool to achieve their socio-economic and career potentials

Created in 2023, Guiding Starz is committed to achieving this goal through;

• Empowerment:
  Empower them achieve  their full potential in education, employment, and personal development mainly through training workshops and career development sessions

• Representation/Inclusion:
  Promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion by amplifying the voices and experiences of young people through awareness campaigns, group sessions and mentorship programmes. 

• Cultural Identity and Pride:
  To celebrate and preserve the cultural heritage, history, and contributions of Black and ethnic minority communities in the UK.

• Social Justice:
  By challenging discrimination, racism, and social inequalities affecting young people from minority backgrounds a chance to make their voices heard by organising various empowerment workshops

• Education and Skills:

  • Provide mentoring, tutoring, and career guidance programmes.

  • Organise workshops and training on leadership, entrepreneurship, and life skills.

• Health and Wellbeing:

  • Support the mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing of young people through counselling, sports, and wellbeing activities.

  • Run awareness campaigns around mental health, identity, and self-esteem.

• Advocacy and Voice:

  • Create youth forums and advisory panels to ensure young people’s voices influence policy and community decisions.

  • Collaborate with local authorities, schools, and partner organisations to address inequalities.
